University of Gujrat organized 1st annual career fair (29-30 Nov) in Hafiz Hayat Campus. The purpose was to promote link between industry and academia. The CIIT transport service came up with the ingenious idea of allowing students and teachers without the bus passes, to use the bus service as long as they payed for it. The transports service was available at Rs 25 (one way). But within 2 days this idea has come to a screeching halt (no pun intended) as the ticketing system is said to be closed down. The old campus of CIIT in H-8 had the provision of blocking social networking websites like facebook and orkut and other websites that downloaded songs. The new campus in chak shehzad however is lacking this ability. Facebook and other social networking websites are however readily available to use and access.
