Xnews is the largest digital student organization in Pakistan and has been operational in multiple universities in Pakistan. The aim of the organization is to keep you informed about all the “happenings” at your very own universities just by the click of mouse. As the tag line shouts out “Making Unknown, Known.”
The Name:
Many people have asked as to why “X” was chosen as the brand name. “X” has always been the unknown entity, the bearer of mystic and mythical powers.
When we see it in mathematics, the “X” is always the unknown, all that hassle of solving not so interesting questions to find out “X”.
“X” has always been the unknown be it the alien sighting “X” or the “X” in astronomy the comet of Unknown origins. “X” has always been the symbol to denote the unknown, the mysterious, and to help you reach the unknown incidents and happenings at you university “Xnews” plans to relieve this mysterious nature and bring out the unknown, under the limelight, making it Known.
“X” may also be denoted as the unifying aspect in the human genome. Men possess the XY chromosome, while women possess XX. Hence the only common element that unites and combines the two together under one roof, under one common entity is “X”. Hence named appropriately so, “Xnews” aims at bringing the youth of Pakistan together under one banner, uniting your university, and then uniting all of Pakistan in one strong patriotic, hardworking and with it fun-loving and partying body.
“X” is the cool, the sexy and the Oomph factor all over the world for decades. Be it the “X-factor” in talent or the plain old school “X-factor” denoting beauty style charm and grace. Hence, a statement, we at “Xnews” are making. Enough said.
We at “Xnews” believe in telling the cold hard truth and nothing but. We make it a point not to personalize anything that we upload. We make it a habit not to view our own opinions but to portray what really has happened. Our opinions do not matter and we make it a point to stay non-biased. A perfect homage, to the ever so famous “X-article” published in 1947.
The one thing that needs to be kept in mind is that “Xnews” is in no way an official university blog/website that comes under the reigns of the university administration. “Xnews” does enjoy the approval and respect of the university administration in some universities but “Xnews” is a purely student run, managed and updated news service that aims to bring any news about any and all happenings at your university into the limelight and in your knowledge.
